The Lose Lose Proposition
It looks like that 50% Discount Voucher news has backfired all around the country. It has become a Lose Lose proposition. For example you can read Kee Tuan Chye's rant here.
As I pointed out earlier they reduced RM210 million by half (50%) and somehow they got RM50 million. They must be using super high level, quantum mathematics or something. RM50 million is actually a 76% Discount. Not 50%.
The madayan's supporters are also upset. For example the pro-madayan voice guy has made another voice over video. You can listen to it here.
Then the Klepto's supporters are upset because the day after August 23, 2024 will be August 24th and their Klepto will still be inside Sing-Sing.
He is going to be inside for a long time. About five years away. Bye bye. Unless he is really enjoying five star hospitality at the Bamboo River Inn.
It looks like the Klepto has been made the biggest fool. Because he is still facing other charges in Court. If he is convicted again and sentenced to say another 8, 10 or 12 years he cannot go back to the Pandan Board again and again and ask for yet another Discount Voucher. That will make the Pandan Board look like rubber stamping office boys.
It would be better for the Klepto to finish facing all his remaining charges in Court, bunch together any more convictions and then go to the Pandan Board and ask for one big Discount Voucher.
There is also a suggestion that Klepto will appeal the 50% Discount Voucher. That seems unlikely as well. It will make the Pandan Board really look like rubber stamp office boys just waiting for Klepto to put in his requests - again and again.
There are other things going on here. The fellow is really running on empty.
Here is some trivia for the lawyers. This is a legal point. Now they have filed charges against an 85 year old man in a wheel chair. Regardless your personal likes and dislikes the news I get is that his name is not listed as a director or shareholder in any of those companies (72 companies?) mentioned in the charges against him. They hint at proxy holdings but you must prove your contention in Court with solid evidence. In this case obviously black and white company documentation or some type of signed and sealed proxy papers. Which they dont have. Or which do not exist.
As I said, regardless your likes and disikes, they must be able to prove their accusations. Otherwise it becomes a futile fishing expedition. Perhaps to create some diversion or deflection in the country (while some really large pies are being baked in the oven elsewhere. Hi sweetie, another busy day at the office?)
Back to the man in the wheelchair here is more trivia. I understand that he bought the land on which that tower has been built way back in 1970. (For around RM70 psf or so). That is 54 years ago. Even before the New Economic Policy kicked in. And I am told that he bought the land from that Mat Salleh company that has been making soft drinks in Malaysia for the past 100 years or so. This guy really likes to backfire.
