INTIMIDATION and cash offer!
If what Padang Serai Member of Parliament claimed is true, then the Perikatan Nasional government is subscribing to 'knife, pen and cheque book' method to get more seats for PM Muhyiddin Yassin's ailing numbers.
M Karupaiya claim that a cash offer for him to support PN was actually frightening as his whole family was persuasively approached. Even his son is not spared, and that the possibility of someone planting a bag of cash in his car as an alibi for corruption is indeed petrifying.
Wow! I won't be surprised if more Opposition MPs will receive similar 'treatment'. Knowing how desperate the government is, anything goes. Just name it, political prosecution, cash and contract offer. If you refuse, prepare your neck to be chopped off!
Its getting rampant. And the government is covering it up by introducing new incentives during the emergency-for-Covid rule, including yesterday's Pemerkasa. On the other hand, they too are spending on 'frog-buying'.
This is dirty politics, very dirty taken up by those who claimed innocent and clean of any wrongdoing. Some Umno MPs already fell into their trap. The loyalists are few, and they abide by any decision by the party. Need not mention their names, everybody knows!
Apart from Karupaiya, the other MPs named by Anwar Ibrahim on Wednesday were Sungai Siput's S Kesavan, Putatan's Awang Husaini and Miri's Michael Teo. Sekijang MP Natrah Ismail had earlier lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission saying that she had been asked to switch sides.
What is the quantum offered? RM10 million? RM30 million? Or RM50 million? Have you ever wondered how much was spent on those 'katak' since May 9, 2018? Bersatu is part of Pakatan Harapan then, and now dominates PN. They still resort to such a buying spree.
There are rumors that Zahid Hamidi's court case will find new 'orchestrated evidence' to implicate him if the current trial pass on an acquittal. This will keep him away from the next general election. If not jail, a RM2,000 fine is sufficient to disqualify him.
Another reliable news is that, another 18 Umno division chiefs will be charged (most of them are MPs and state reps), with the MACC and AGC receiving instruction from 'certain parties' in Bersatu to apprehend them. And efforts are under way to offer a huge amount of cash to the Supreme Council members to reverse their decision not to cooperate with Bersatu in GE15.
You see, this government is almost similar to Saddam Hussein and Ferdinand Marcos regimes in Iraq and the Philippines respectively. Make them join you if you want your life spared. Even when you are innocent of anything, they'll make sure that you turn into a convict!
Can we trust the AGC, MACC and the police to conduct full investigations? Are they free from any political intervention? How about the judiciary?
This is akin to a Gestapo nation. Nothing is secured and safe...
