Teen Injures Self Claims Teacher Forced Him To Confess Ties With Female Student
BAHAU: A Form Four student injured himself with a broken glass in class after two teachers allegedly forced him to confess to acting inappropriately with a female student.
The student, who received 22 stitches for his self-inflicted injuries, had to be rushed to the Serting health clinic in an ambulance after a classmate found him bleeding in the classroom after recess.
The student, accompanied by his father, lodged a report at the Bandar Seri Jempol station against the two teachers on Wednesday (March 22), adding that he had inflicted the injuries on himself as he was ashamed of being wrongfully accused of committing the act.
"Since it was my birthday yesterday (March 21), a female friend whom I have known for three years came up to me during recess and said she wanted to give me a present.
"We then walked to her class and she gave me a box with a shirt in it," he said when contacted.
The teenager claimed that another teacher who was passing by then asked what the duo were doing in class during recess, and he explained the reason they were there.
However, the two were then told to go to the office for further questioning.
"When we went there, one teacher asked if I had kissed my friend and if she sat on my lap.
"When we both denied this, a male teacher forced me to write and sign a confession," he said.
The student said he then returned to his class but his classmates were not around as they had gone to take their textbooks.
Still shaken by the incident at the teachers' room, the student then took a broken glass and inflicted the injuries upon himself.
He received 19 stitches on his left arm and three on his neck.
"I almost passed out after the incident and was rushed to the clinic in an ambulance for treatment.
"I was just upset about being forced to write a confession and that my parents would be disappointed with me for no reason," he said.
The boy said he was given a two-week medical certificate by the medical officer to enable him to fully recover from his wounds.
When contacted, Jempol OCPD Supt Hoo Chang Hook confirmed receiving a report regarding the incident.
"We need some time to complete investigation. We should be able to get a clearer picture once this is done," he added.
