Oksana, who alleges that six-month-old Leon was fathered by the sultan, said that her friend had been called to a meeting in Russia and warned that there were people who are “very interested in this child”, according to a British newspaper
She said she had been told to withdraw a lawsuit to establish the paternity of the child, stop her alimony claims and refrain from speaking to the media if she wanted to prevent the threat on her son
The Daily Mail claimed that Oksana had fled her home in Moscow because of fears for the child’s life, and that her friend had met an “unknown woman” who told her that: “She (Oksana) has many secret enemies.”Oksana’s friend recorded the 40-minute conversation in which she was warned that: “Oksana should think hard about what she is doing. She needs to gain some time, the boy’s life now depends on it. There are people who are very interested in this child, and he is so small and not protected…I have information that he is in danger, and the situation is escalating…”Russian media outlet Russia Today reported that Russian law enforcement had started an investigation into the alleged threats against the toddler
Another daily, Komsomolskaya Pravda, quoted Voevodina’s lawyer Ivan Melnikov as saying that the woman in the conversation with Voevodina’s friend was heard saying that Leon’s life was in mortal danger and that Voevodina could prevent the threat by withdrawing her lawsuit to recover alimony and stop speaking to the media
Voevodina herself told Pravda that she did not know who was behind the threats but that the meeting took place in the same building where the sultan’s Russian lawyers have an office
The Daily Mail reported that the Kelantan palace declined to comment as the matter was unrelated to the palace. - FMT
