Students Missing Out On Rm200 Aid Can Contact Respective Institutions
PETALING JAYA: Students who have not received the RM200 one-off payment under the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN 2020) can contact their respective higher education institutions
The Higher Education Ministry said the funds had already been disbursed to the respective institutes to be paid out to full-time Malaysian students
Payment, the ministry said in a press release, would only be made into the student’s account
Those who have not received the aid should contact their respective instituition's academic admittance affairs department, student affairs unit or student development units immediately
For the list of contacts, log on to https://bit.ly/2ygNPKk.To qualify for the assistance, students must fulfil the requirements stated below:> A Malaysian citizen and active full-time student on March 31 in local institutions, such as higher education students under the purview of Higher Education Ministry, Education Ministry or other ministries in various levels of higher education such as community colleges, polytechnics, public universities and private institutions;> Students who are enrolled in courses equivalent to Form Six, Senior Middle 3, Sijil Tinggi Agama (Stam), vocational college diploma, diploma and equivalent to TVET, matriculation, foundation, A-level, International Baccalaureate diploma, Australian Matriculation, advanced diplomas, bachelor's degree and equivalent, Masters and equivalent, PHD and equivalent, as well as courses with the same rank as diploma and above, which are approved by the government or any professional bodies in Malaysia;> Higher education students under the purview of the Education Ministry and the Higher Education Ministry or any higher education institutions which are registered; and> Higher education diploma students or equivalent, including full-time SKM4 students and above at institutions under the Human Resources Ministry, Youth and Sports Ministry as well as the Rural Development Ministry
It is estimated that 1.5 million students will benefit from this assistance, which consists of 1.2 million students at universities and colleges, 100,000 Form Six and matriculation students and 200,000 diploma or TVET students. - Star
