Stepfather Brother Plead Guilty To Raping 15 Year Old Girl

Harian Metro reported that all of the accused pleaded guilty after the charges were read before judge Najwa Che Mat.
The victim’s stepfather, 49, who works as a security guard, was charged with raping the 15-year-old victim in a house in Pulai, Baling, Kedah, around 4pm on June 24. The charge was under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code, which provides for eight to 30 years’ imprisonment and no less than 10 strokes of the cane if convicted.
The court granted the stepfather bail of RM30,000 and set Aug 10 as the date for submission of the victim’s medical report.
The girl’s stepfather also pleaded guilty to a separate charge of possessing pornographic pictures and videos in his Vivo Y66 phone at the Baling police headquarters on June 27 at 3.40pm. He was charged under Section 292(a) of the Penal Code, which provides for up to three years’ imprisonment, a fine or both.
The court sentenced the stepfather to 15 months in prison from the date of his arrest on this charge.
Meanwhile, the victim’s brother, 17, was also charged under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code with raping his sister in the same house, around 10am, on June 15, 2025.
The judge set Oct 30 for the submission of a conduct report, and granted the boy bail of RM4,000.
According to the facts of the case, the victim was raped by her stepfather and brother since she was 11 years old.
At the same time, the victim’s biological mother, 45, was charged with failing to report the sexual offence against her daughter to the police, despite having reasonable grounds to believe it had occurred.
The charge against her was under Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which provides for a fine of up to RM5,000 upon conviction.
The court imposed a fine of RM2,000 on her, or eight months’ imprisonment if she fails to pay the fine.
The prosecution was led by deputy public prosecutor Amirul Halimi Salleh, while the accused were represented by lawyer Masniah Dolah from the National Legal Aid Foundation. - FMT
