Its chairman Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg said Sarawak's future depended on a strong, stable, and committed government to defend the rights of the people and the interests of Sarawak.
"We must not risk our future. We should learn from the failures of the PH government, which only lasted few months due to weaknesses and instability.
"GPS is experienced, competent, respected, and has high integrity with an excellent track record, and will provide the best service to the people of Sarawak," he said in a statement this morning.Abang Johari also appealed to voters to make the best choice for themselves, their families and communities, adding that GPS, with the full mandate, would continue efforts to ensure public security, political stability and economic prosperity.
He pledged that his "GPS team" would continue with the socio-economic development agenda to create new sources of wealth and generate more business and job opportunities for the youth and future generations.
"We will ensure Sarawak continues to prosper so the people can enjoy the benefits of our well-planned, holistic and inclusive economic growth and development.
"MY GPS team will always strive to protect and defend the rights of the people and the interests of Sarawak as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), the Inter-Governmental Committee (IGC) report, the Sarawak State Constitution, and the Federal Constitution."
He said this was proven by the bill to amend the Federal Constitution relevant to MA63 as passed in Parliament on Tuesday.
The caretaker chief minister also promised to preserve the unity and harmony in Sarawak, where multiracial and multireligious communities would be able to live together in peace.
"Make no mistake, we must continuously fight for Sarawak's unity, harmony, autonomy and prosperity.
"All of us in GPS are committed to continue our fight to strive for a better Sarawak. Give GPS the chance to fight for you to create a better Sarawak for all of us.
"Support and vote for GPS for a stable, prosperous and glorious Sarawak, in order to make Sarawak developed by 2030," he added.
