Reject Outside Forces Against Johor Values Umno Youth Leader

JOHOR BY-ELECTIONS | Johor Umno Youth chief Noor Azleen Ambros today reminded voters of imminent danger from “political chess players” out to sow division and challenge values held by Johoreans.
In urging voters to reject such influences, he said the Simpang Jeram and Pulai by-elections represent a bigger battle against outside forces - beyond candidates from Pakatan Harapan supported by BN and their opponents from Perikatan Nasional.
“In these by-elections, see how many ‘political chess players’ were flown in from all over the country. From the north and even east.
“All of them couldn’t hide their desires to meddle with our affairs in the south,” Azleen (above) said.
In particular, he described PN’s claim of rising support for the coalition, riding on results from the recent six state elections, as one that would destroy the ‘Bangsa Johor’ values based on unity.
“Yes, there is a ‘wave’ that we can feel. But what they are bringing is not a wave of (positive) change.
PAS and Perikatan Nasional supporters“Instead, it is a wave to destroy the state with external influences that clearly goes against values of Johor Darul Takzim.
“External influences that go against our values as a united ‘Bangsa Johor’,” Azleen said in a statement today.
Therefore, he said voters in Pulai and Simpang Jeram should reject such attempts by the opposition to sow division among them.
“In these challenging times, temporarily set aside all other sentiments.
“There is a larger harm in front of us. Us Southerners reject division. We choose unity, vision, and prosperity.”
The Simpang Jeram and Pulai by-elections were called following the death of domestic trade and cost of living minister Salahuddin Ayub on July 23.
In Simpang Jeram, Harapan’s Nazri Abdul Rahman is facing PN’s Dr Mohd Mazri Yahya and Independent S Jeganathan; while in Pulai, Harapan’s Suhaizan Kaiat is up against PN’s Zulkifli Jaafar and Independent Samsudin Mohd Fauzi.
