Rafizi S Star Wanes But At Least He Won The Hearts Of Netizens

THERE are winners and losers in every contest. This is the nature of life, more so when it concerns politics.
Therefore it comes as no surprise when Minister of Economy Rafizi Ramli finds himself at the bottom of the spinning wheel.
Perhaps he may make a strong return in the future, within PKR itself, or in a different party. But as of now, his star is on the decline.
Recently, a viral video gained quite the attention on the cyberspace, highlighting the sacrifices Rafizi has made for the people and party.

Netizens by the drives turned up in the comment section in support for him while condemning nepotism.
@PakcikKomeng pleaded for him not to join PAS or PN while @DrAFKam said he would follow Rafizi if he made a new party.

“DAP can take him,” said @ashaqi.
“Rafizi Ramli spent so many years of his life fighting for Anwar’s family. And now that they gained power, Anwar simply pushed him like this,” said @MatuPius37191, adding that it was cruel.
Also, @kayekyye pointed out Rafizi’s hair loss while he was in PKR, alluding to the fact that he was working hard for the people.
“Hopefully he returns as the President of PKR come 2028,” said @AbdjalilNizar.
Then there was @anxioustapir floating a conspiracy theory that this PKR election was all about Tengku Zafrul.
“Anwar was keeping Pandan and the economy portfolio seat warm for him all along,” said @anxioustapir.
With most of the central leadership now helmed by Anwar’s yes men, they will not protest to Zafrul being handed all the positions on a silver platter, claims @anxioustapir.

Another angry netizen tagged Anwar, his wife and his daughter in the comment, stating that they were worse than Mahathir.
But there were those who opposed to Rafizi too, as can be seen in netizen @adyputra29. According to him, all his projects such as Padu and MyDigital have all failed.
“It is better that he becomes a backbencher,” he suggested.

Netizen @HafzExpressions further took a jab at Rafizi’s habit of using the word “formula.” “He has too many formulas. This time the formula did not work,” he said.
To recap, Nurul Izzah secured 9,803 votes, defeating the incumbent Rafizi, who received 3,866 votes in the recent PKR election.
“I did not join PKR for a position or ministerial rank, let alone to amass wealth. I understand that Anwar Ibrahim’s fate is closely tied to PKR, but I believe the legitimacy of PKR in the eyes of the people goes beyond Anwar or any individual. Leaders come and go, but ideals endure,” said Rafizi recently.
According to Rafizi, he never believed that holding government office was the only way to achieve that goal.
“Society must evolve faster than the government to realise a pluralistic and progressive Malaysia, a dream still in the making,” he said. — Focus Malaysia
