Prolintas Reduces Toll Rates At 4 Highways
Class One, Four and Five vehicles will benefit from the reduction in toll rates. (Bernama pic)KUALA LUMPUR: The toll rates of four highways under the Klang Valley’s largest urban highways provider, Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas), will be reduced between 8% and 15% beginning 12.01am on Oct 20.
Prolintas said in a statement that the four highways with the new toll rates are the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), the Kemuning-Shah Alam Highway (LKSA), and the Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway (SILK).
The toll rate reduction applies to Class One vehicles (vehicles with two axles and three or four wheels, such as passenger cars, excluding taxis and buses), Class Four (taxis), and Class Five (buses), it said.
Prolintas said the toll rates of vehicles in Class Two (vehicles with two axles and five or six wheels, excluding buses) and Class Three (vehicles having three axles or more, excluding buses) remain the same.
The reduction in toll rates is part of the government’s initiative to lessen the burden of the people amid the rise in living costs, as announced by caretaker Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Oct 13.
“Prolintas is committed to providing the best highway service at all times, from the aspects of operations and highway maintenance to the travelling experience of highway users on all its highways.
“The company will also continue to support government efforts that can benefit and give a positive impact to the people,” it said. - FMT
