Prism Expands Beyond Ecommerce To Launch First Experiential Store In Malaysia At Sunway Pyramid

The rapidly growing consumer technology brand is committing to its expansion in Malaysia just a year after its launch in the market.



PRISM+, a rapidly growing consumer technology brand will be launching its first offline experiential store at Sunway Pyramid on September 16th in conjunction with Malaysia Day. Spanning over 500 square feet and located at one of the busiest malls in Malaysia, the new store aims to extend PRISM+’s capability to connect with an even more diverse range of customers.

The decision to open an offline store will see PRISM+ buck the trend of brands shifting their business to online channels in the pandemic. Eric Kam, Country Director of PRISM+ Malaysia explains that the move was done in view of providing a better overall experience as Malaysia begins to learn to live with the pandemic.



“With the launch of our first physical store in Malaysia, we hope to provide a better shopping experience for customers who prefer to touch and feel the products they buy. This way customers get to interact with our products and have a better hands-on experience with the brand, now that the country is opening up post-pandemic. We hope the new outlet will help grow trust and confidence in the brand which is already immensely popular in the online space.”



Malaysia will be the first country outside of Singapore to have a physical store, which launched its first experiential store only last month.

Mr. Kam adds, “We aim to continue opening more physical stores in some of the most important areas in Malaysia as part of our ongoing efforts to build our footprint here.”



As part of the store launch, PRISM+ is offering exclusive discounts for the first 100 shoppers during the grand opening event at Sunway Pyramid. Addressing the move, Mr. Kam shares that PRISM+ has seen tremendous growth since the brand launched in the market in 2021. “We are excited to see the growth of PRISM+ in Malaysia as the opening of this new outlet follows the success of our online sales in Malaysia the past year. The reception that we have received from the market has been nothing short of tremendous, and we are grateful for the support we have received from our fans in Malaysia. The launch of the experiential store can be seen as a vote of confidence in the market, which has seen us yield a 276% year-on-year increase in revenue in the first half of 2022 when compared to the first half 2021 when we launched.”
