Government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said the prime minister and the Cabinet will hold the open house celebrations in April and May in Kedah, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan, Terengganu, and Selangor.
The coalition government’s move has been seen by opposition politicians and political analysts as an effort to woo voters ahead of the state assembly elections.
Ads by KioskedIn February leaders of the six states said they had achieved consensus about dissolving their state legislatures in June.
Penang, Selangor, and Negeri Sembilan are run by a coalition of Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional while Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu are run by PAS and Bersatu as members of Perikatan Nasional.

Earlier today, the menteris besar of Terengganu and Kelantan had said Anwar and the Cabinet were welcome to hold Hari Raya open house celebrations in their states.
Terengganu menteri besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said: “We are open to whatever objectives that the federal government wishes to achieve by holding the open house here. We want to show that the political differences between the state and federal governments will not be seen as an obstacle for us to work together.”

Kedah – 10am to 2pm on April 29 at Hotel Raia in Alor Setar.Penang – 11am to 2pm on May 6 at UiTM Permatang Pauh.Negeri Sembilan – 11am to 2pm on May 7 at Dewan Majlis Bandaraya, Seremban.Kelantan – 7pm to 10.30pm on May 12 at Stadium Sultan Muhammad IV, Kota Bharu.Terengganu – 7pm to 10.30pm on May 13 at Dewan Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Kuala Terengganu.Selangor – 8pm to 11pm on May 14 at Kawasan Komersial Phase 3, Gombak. - FMT
