Premi Re Hotel Appointed As Designated Centre For Vaccination In Klang

Première Hotel Klang, the property investment and management business under WCT Holdings Berhad (“WCT Group”) has been appointed as one of the designated vaccination centres (PPV) under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) in supporting the Klang community towards getting their vaccination.

The Première Hotel which is repurposed as a vaccine administration centre (PPV), is equipped to administer 1,500 doses daily in a Grand Ballroom that sprawls across 1,125.50 square meters. Close to 130 personnel that comprise service employees from the hotel, volunteers & medical officers from Health Care Organization are being deployed to administer the vaccination process. Première Hotel also provides storage facilities for the vaccines.

The vaccination centre operates daily from 8am to 9pm with effect from 15 July 2021 until 17 November 2021.

“It is imperative to ensure the hotel is fully utilised as we can support the government’s target of achieving herd immunity in Klang with the hope that the community can resume their daily activities and the surrounding economic sectors can resume operations while adhering to the stringent containment measures imposed by the relevant authorities,” said Première Hotel Manager, Christopher Chan.

“We are optimistic with the recovery and revival of the tourism industry, which has impacted the hospitality operators severely since last year. We hope more people will get themselves protected through the government programme and it may help lead towards the opportunity to travel again at some point in the near future,” concluded Mr. Chan.

The move by Première Hotel Klang to serve the community and to support the National Immunisation Programme is in line with the collaboration with the District/Land Office of Klang and Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia towards getting people protected from the virus.
