Pn S Clean Inclusive Policies Resonate With Rural Malays Ft Leader

A Perikatan Nasional division leader has claimed that part of the reason rural Malays support the coalition is for its policies which "promote unity" among Malaysians.
Federal Territories PN information chief Mahathir Mohd Rais (above) said they also believe that a PN government would be more politically stable.
"As a party, PN strives to create inclusive policies and uphold cleaner political practices than other parties.
"This approach resonates with many rural Malays, who believe that a government led by PN would foster a more stable political climate for the country," he said in a statement today.
Mahathir said this in an attempt to contrast PN with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, whom he alleged risked stoking racial tensions by targeting Malay tycoons.
This came after Anwar challenged Malay tycoons who champion Malay rights to give up half their profits to help the poor in the community.

Mahathir said this focus on rich Malays was concerning, claiming that Malays only represent a "tiny portion" of Malaysia's wealthy class.
He also said because there are hardworking individuals of all races who contributed to the country's progress, an examination of the wealthy should encompass all ethnic backgrounds.
Further, he said because of the historical challenges faced by Malays, it was vital to support the community's pursuit of prosperity and equality.
"The prime minister's remarks risk inciting conflict within society and eroding the social cohesion painstakingly built over the years by discrediting the achievements of Malay leaders and tycoons.
"As we approach the anniversary of the tragic May 13 incident in just two days, it is a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of racial tensions and divides.
"This dark chapter in history should inspire political leaders to promote harmony and inclusiveness rather than alienating certain ethnic groups as Malaysians come together to remember the lives lost and lessons learned," he said.
The PN division leader's remarks came days after coalition top leader Abdul Hadi Awang accused non-Malays and non-Muslims of being the "biggest plunderers".
The PAS president also slammed Malays who worked together with these non-Malays and non-Muslims. - Mkini
