Pkr Youth Dr M Obsessed With Anwar But Won T Take Responsibility
PKR Youth has hit out at former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad for repeating his blame on PKR president Anwar Ibrahim for causing the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government.
“Honestly, we have grown tired with Mahathir’s obsession in blaming Anwar on all matters that it has become a joke,” newly minted PKR Youth chief Adam Adli Abdul Halim tweeted.
Ultimately, Adam said the people responsible for bringing down the Harapan government were those empowered by Mahathir.

He was also joined by a group of PKR defectors led by its then deputy president Azmin Ali.
The final months of the Harapan government saw tension between Mahathir and Anwar, with Anwar’s supporters fearing that the nonagenarian would renege on his word to hand over power, while the then premier’s backers feared that Anwar would seek power before Mahathir was prepared to step down.
The mutual distrust prompted both sides to cut deals to protect their interests, allowing other political players to take advantage and strengthen their own positions and eventually seize power.
‘Anwar had no power’
Incoming PKR Youth deputy chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim said Mahathir continuously refused to take responsibility for the collapse of the Harapan administration.
Kamil pointed out that when the Harapan government collapsed, Anwar had no position or executive power.
“I hope Mahathir stops blaming others, reflects on his own mistakes and accepts that the collapse of the Harapan government was due to his own action,” he added.

An upset Mahathir resigned as the prime minister. He later admitted that the move was a mistake.
The Sarawak-based GPS, which initially backed Mahathir, eventually abandoned him.
After resigning, the Langkawi MP sought to reform a new majority but Harapan MPs backed Anwar over him as their prime ministerial candidate.
Both fell short of the numbers. Mahathir has repeatedly blamed Anwar for the outcome. - Mkini
