Panicked Pn Copied Harapan S Manifesto Implies Amirudin
STATE POLLS | Selangor Pakatan Harapan chairperson Amirudin Shari has likened Perikatan Nasional (PN) to a panicking student who copies another’s work in order to complete an assignment at the very last minute.
Without mentioning names, Amirudin (above) said it reminded him of his university days.
“We’ve all had the experience of watching our friend who submitted their assignment at the last minute.
“When they are in a panic to the point of desperation, they will copy the work of their friends and claim that they are ‘best’,” said Amirudin on Twitter last night.
“Tonight reminded me of old (university) days,” said Amirudin following the launch of PN’s election manifesto for Selangor last night.
The PN manifesto, themed “Selangor Baru, Kita Bangkit”, contained 112 offers to be implemented if the coalition comes into power on Aug 12.
It was launched by PN chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin and PN Selangor chief Azmin Ali, a former menteri besar and former mentor to Amirudin.
On July 31, Selangor Harapan launched its own manifesto, “5 Thrusts for 5 Years”, that also covered various welfare and economic issues.
A comparison of the two documents revealed minor differences.
For instance, PN had increased by RM100 an allowance in Harapan’s manifesto offered to mosque officials.
In terms of medical benefits, Harapan offered to expand its current free healthcare services while PN focused on basic facilities and insurance protection.
Selangor under Amirudin’s leadership previously launched a post-Covid-19 Selangor Prihatin economic stimulation package to assist those affected by the pandemic and its restrictions. - Mkini
