The security and intelligence agencies have expressed their concern regarding Pakatan Harapan. According to the Special Branch report, there is one faction in Pakatan Harapan that wants to see a Tahrir Square or Arab Spring type of revolution in Malaysia. Another faction is aligned to the LTTE, which has gone underground and is working through political parties. Another sympathises with the CPM and wants Chin Peng’s remains brought back and reburied in Malaysia so that it can be turned into a shrine.
Then we have one faction of Pakatan Harapan that receives funding from the US while another receives funding from Israel. Chinese tycoons living outside Malaysia are also funding certain operations involving bringing in illegal immigrants from China and issuing them MyKads so that they can be registered as voters.
In Pakatan Harapan we have the anti-Hadith group, who reject all Hadith and believe in just the Qur’an (they sometimes call themselves the “Qur’an Alone” group). The Shia group is also very much alive in Pakatan Harapan, as are the Christian Evangelists who receive foreign funding to finance a program for converting Muslims to Christianity.

Malaysians have been dealing with foreign terrorists groups for decades When Anwar Ibrahim said Pakatan Harapan is a very diverse group he was not joking. They are indeed very diverse. And this is what worries Malaysia’s security and intelligence agencies.

But this is not the first time. The Southern Thailand and Mindanao Muslim terrorist groups also have strong Malaysian links. They not only receive funding and weapons from Malaysia, their soldiers also receive military training in secret locations in Malaysia. The funding comes from Arab countries such as Libya and Saudi Arabia. And this has been going on for decades.
Actually, the government is aware of the links between Malaysians and foreign groups such as the LTTE, Muslim Brotherhood, MILF, MNLF, Abu Sayyaf, PULO, BBMP, GMIP, RKK, BRN-C, etc. The Malaysian government also deals with them on occasions when their help is needed. But the dealings between the DAP Indians and the LTTE is a private arrangement. And that is why they were arrested.
