Oops Old Video My Apologies
Ok I have to apologise. The Police have released a statement about the previous video. Here is the report (in The Star) about the statement from the Police:
SEREMBAN: Action will be taken against any individual who uploads old clips or issues on social media that can cause unnecessary tension and public disorder during the general election, says the police.
Negri Sembilan police chief Deputy Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said this after a clip showing former mentri besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan speaking at an event at the Rantau Eco Park on March 19, 2018, resurfaced and went viral.
"The clip, where the former MB can be heard making provocations against those who slander the government and helping to get police bail for those who are detained for opposing such tactics has again gone viral.
"I would like to state here that the case has already been probed under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code.
"So, the police would like to advise everyone not to upload or share the clip on social media again to prevent unnecessary speculation and to allow the polls to run smoothly," he said in a statement.
This, he said, was also important to maintain public order and safety during the polls.
DCP Ahmad Dzaffir said any individual who issues a statement which can cause public disorder can be charged under Section 505 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of up to two years or a fine or both.
Those who use social media to upload fake news can also be charged under Section 233(1) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 which provides a jail term of not more than one year, a fine of up to RM50,000 or both upon conviction.
My comments : The video has been taken down from this Blog. Again I did not mean to cause any alarm. My apologies.
