Now Mahathir Definitely Cannot Retire
The plan to oust Mahathir was this month, July. That now cannot happen and Mahathir has about two months to strengthen his defences. If it is going to happen it must happen by September. So, Mahathir still has time to finish off Anwar before Anwar finishes him off. Anwar screams he has the numbers. He also screamed the same thing in 2008 but “16 September” never happened. And one thing about Anwar, when he screams that means he has no winning cards in his hands.

Anwar says he has the numbers to take over from Mahathir
(Malay Mail Online) – PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim dismissed speculation that his deputy could be an obstacle to him becoming prime minister, saying he has the necessary backing from Pakatan Harapan to succeed Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Commenting on talk that the ongoing sex video scandal implicating Datuk Seri Azmin Ali was part of a larger conspiracy for the government’s top post, he described such rumours as a non-issue.
“I have the numbers, the support of Pakatan Harapan MPs and the prime minister, so it’s not fair to me or Azmin to say otherwise.”
“What we want to express is our disgust at the gutter politics being played now,” he said in the lobby of Parliament today.
This morning, 23 members of the PKR central committee openly rebuked Anwar in a joint statement for suggesting Azmin should resign as the economic affairs minister if the sex videos are genuine.

75% of Malaysians want Mahathir out by May 2020?
(Joceline Tan, The Star) – Meanwhile, the Institut Darul Ehsan think tank that is linked to the Selangor government has turned up the heat by releasing a survey indicating that 75% of Malaysians do not want to see Dr Mahathir stay on as prime minister beyond two years.
Think tank chief Prof Datuk Dr Redzuan Othman said that of this group, 44% want Dr Mahathir to go within the next six months while 20% say he should go immediately.

The fact that Anwar has even thought of that and needs to make a statement assuring everyone that the Azmin-Haziq gay porn video is NOT going to be an obstacle to him taking over from Mahathir means he has considered that point. And why does the Selangor Government think tank need to announce that 75% of Malaysians want Mahathir to leave while 20% want him to go now and 44% want him to go within the next six months?
This is Anwar’s psywar game. He wants people to think he has the numbers, that nothing is going to stop him from taking over, and that the majority of Malaysians want him to take over as soon as possible. Tak habis-habis cerita yang sama. Takde cerita lain ke? Sudah bosan dengar cerita Anwar akan ambil alih jawatan PM8.
Mahathir said he had to postpone his retirement by five years because Anwar could not handle the Asian Financial Crisis
In an interview in Japan in 2003, Mahathir said he had actually planned to hand over to Anwar before the general election (the general election was held in November 1999). However, because of the problem Malaysia was facing (the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis), and because Anwar could not handle the problem (Anwar wanted to hand the country to the IMF), Mahathir was forced to postpone his retirement until the crisis had been solved (Mahathir delayed his departure by five years).
Yes, so now history is repeating itself. Mahathir had planned to hand over to Anwar by May next year. But now PKR and Pakatan Harapan are in a mess. Malaysia’s debts have also increased since Pakatan Harapan took over 14 months ago and is expected to increased even further by May 2020. So, just like in 1998, Mahathir has to now postpone his retirement by at least another two or three years till 2021 or 2022.
And that was why Anwar needed to make that announcement above.
The gay porn video was supposed to have ended Azmin’s political career
Another thing that Anwar is worried about is: the gay porn video was supposed to have ended Azmin’s political career. But the IGP, Hamid Bador, while announcing that the video is authentic, said that the gay porn actors cannot be identified. This means Azmin is safe and cannot be brought down.
The issue is, one of the gay porn actors, Haziq Aziz, has confessed to being one of the actors. And he fingered Azmin as the second actor. But the police never recorded Azmin’s statement like they should have. So how would they know that Azmin is NOT the second porn actor?
The IGP will protect Azmin as long as Anwar is still a threat to Mahathir
Furthermore, if terrorists and bombers all over the world can be identified using facial recognition software, can’t the two porn actors in that gay porn video also be identified using facial recognition software? Malaysia is admitting that it does not have the technology to identify faces in video recordings. That says a lot about Malaysia’s security apparatus. Terrorists can come and go as they please and there is no way the police will know. No wonder Malaysia has been identified by the US as a “terrorist hub”.
