That creamy, dense texture with a lemon-zesty addictive cheese flavour – it’s no wonder that Jerry the mouse’s first taste of this luscious, cartoon no-bake cheesecake made him grin with delight. To celebrate Jerry’s love of cheese and World Cheese Day, Cartoon Network Asia sent us a surprise delivery. Inside was all we need to make a no-bake cheesecake inspired by the cartoon Tom & Jerry in their 1941 episode “A Midnight Snack”. Since all Malaysians love all things cheese, especially cheesecake, we decided to give this a go.
Ding dong! The doorbell rang, and the kid ran to open the door. There at the entrance is a box.

She bent down to pick it up, holding on to the sides of the package firmly as she took it into the house.

She walked towards the kitchen and placed it on the kitchen table.

What you will need to get started
Before we begin this adventure, we’ll show you what every kid and parent will need to get started. First of all, be sure to buy the ingredients. Next, ready the tools and cheese-cake mould. Lastly, allocate at last half a day for this fun activity. Please note that assembling the no-bake cheesecake with your kid would take at least 45 minutes to an hour. However, it’s the waiting for the cheesecake to set in the freezer that would take time.
Ingredients
4-5 medium-sized passion fruit or lemon
7g gelatine
250g cream cheese
50g sugar
160g whipping cream
1tbsp food colouring (light orange)

15. Watch some cartoons with the kid for four hours. After the cartoon marathon, you can take the mould out of the freezer. To unmould, gently pull away the sides. Next, push the bottom of the mould up to invert the mould and push out the cheesecake. It’s now ready to be served.

Extra Tips
We like having cheesecake with durian. Feel free to serve some durian alongside the cake for an added flavor. If you like, you can also add in other fruits such as passion fruit or mulberry.
