Parliamentarian Mansor Othman (PKR-Nibong Tebal) collapsed while debating the Budget 2020 in the Dewan Rakyat today
He was giving his speech halfway when he stopped for a moment. When he started speaking again, he was slurring his words before he started swaying on his feet
Fellow parliamentarian Wong Chen (Harapan-Subang), who was sitting next to him, grabbed onto him before he fell onto the ground, as Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh (Harapan-Ledang) rushed from the row behind him to help
The Dewan Rakyat erupted into chaos as fellow MPs rushed to his aid

Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Nga Kor Ming urged for any parliamentarians who were medical doctors to help him first
He then called for a five-minute break
As they waited for the paramedics in the Dewan Rakyat, MPs stood around Mansor in a wide circle
When they brought Mansor out of the hall in a wheelchair a few minutes later, he appeared to be awake, alert and was smiling as he was wheeled into the Parliament clinic
A short while later, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who had gone to the clinic to check on Mansor's condition, said the doctor had said he was okay, but he would be transferred to a hospital for a more thorough examination
"Alhamdullilah, he is now better and the doctor said he is okay. Maybe his blood pressure was low at that time, but according to procedure, he will be referred to the hospital for a full check-up
"He is okay. When I arrived he was already okay, he could speak. When I asked him whether he recognised me, he said he did. His blood pressure has increased and his blood sugar level is also okay," she said to reporters outside the Parliament clinic
About 45 minutes after he collapsed in the Dewan Rakyat, Mansor was escorted out of Parliament in a wheelchair
He was transferred to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) for further check-ups
In April 2016, Hanipa Maidin (Harapan-Sepang) had also collapsed while in the Dewan Rakyat, and he had to undergo surgery after being rushed to the hospital at that time. - Mkini
