May 1st Mayday
MAY 1st message by the Prime Minister - the government will try to solve the high unemployment rate among the locals, and that the influx of foreign workers in the country couldn't have happened if Malaysians themselves undertake the jobs.
Easy to say!
I remember among the promises made by Pakatan Harapan are the floor wage will be increased to RM1,500 and about 1 million jobs to be created in one year. Now that the ultimatum is closing in, hopes are diminishing fast.
Why, the one year period was used by Dr M and his Cabinet members to keep blaming the previous government of the 'RM1 trillion debt', 1MDB, 'the government doesn't have enough money' and other craps.
By finding a space to hide their weaknesses, the government is actually trying to camouflage the actual agenda of ruining the economy and the country, oppressing the people and dodging the foreign partners. Mega projects are still given directly despite the assurance of having the open-tender trick.
Some projects approved under the Barisan Nasional government were revived, readjusted and reclassified without transparency. No mathematical explanation was given out by the Finance Ministry and Works Ministry to support their figures.
Bumiputera contractors find it difficult to secure even a RM200,000 job, let alone getting a loan from the banks. Many offices are closed, some are winding up while the owners are facing bankruptcy notice to be served. And you call this a 'Malaysia Baru!'
On top of millions people losing their jobs as a result of over-zealous implementation by some ministries, more are expected to be axed due to downsizing exercise and other 'made-up' reasons. And the government is not paying any attention.
With the rise in cost of living due to SST, nothing is being done to addressed it except promises made to give some comfort to consumers. Another 6,000 from FGV are said to face termination soon. How's that?
Go on, Dr M, Lim Guan Eng and others. Keep harping on our debt issue and 1MDB. You don't notice that our originally RM686 million foreign debt has risen to RM800 million in just a year after PH took office. I wonder how much will it snowball four years from now on. Or is it one of your vendetta to complicate the next government (since many say that you will be a one-term government) on the higher debts and many other problems?
I want to believe this, that you would grab whatever at stake while in power before your term ends. Any objection?
We are still waiting for your 1 million jobs. We are still hoping for the RM1,500 minimum wage. And we are still waiting for you to abolish toll plazas, PTPTN, settlers debt and many more.
Got anything to say? You may laugh now Guan Eng... cry later!
