Malaysians In Iran Urged To Leave Amid Escalating Conflict
The foreign ministry has urged citizens to prioritise their safety and warns of worsening security conditions following attacks by Israel.

The foreign ministry said it is closely monitoring the situation through the Malaysian embassy in Tehran, which has activated its operations room to support citizens needing assistance.
“Given the rapidly deteriorating conditions, all Malaysians currently in Iran are strongly urged to leave the country immediately by any available means.
“The situation remains highly volatile and may worsen without warning. The safety and well-being of Malaysian citizens remain the utmost priority of the ministry,” it said in a statement.
The ministry added that the embassy is in contact with all registered Malaysians in Iran.
“At present, all have been confirmed safe and have been advised to depart the country without delay,” it said.

International media reported that Iran came under unprovoked strikes by Israel, which started at about 3am local time on Friday, targeting both military and nuclear facilities as well as residential areas.
The strikes resulted in the deaths of numerous Iranian military personnel and civilians and caused significant damage to critical infrastructure in several parts of the country.
Iran then launched dozens of missiles at Israel on Saturday, with explosions reported in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. - FMT
