Mahb To Host Major International Conference Of Airport Operators

The Airports Council International (ACI) recently announced Kuala Lumpur as the host city at the end of the Airports Council International Airports Economics and Finance Conference and Exhibition (ACIAEF) in London recently
Since 2008, ACIAEF was only once held in a non-European city, in Singapore in 2013. It was held 10 times in LondonMAHB’s group CEO Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin said he was delighted and honoured that Malaysia and MAHB had been selected as the next host
“This is an important recognition for us,” he said
Delegates to the three-day event include airport CEOs, officials, financial institutions, rating agencies, investors, regulators and insurance companies
Delegates will explore and discuss the latest trends and best practices in airport management, and key challenges facing the industry
Raja Azmi said that the event will benefit local aviation industry players and stakeholders
At this year’s event in London, Raja Azmi shared with delegates MAHB’s role in ensuring air connectivity in Malaysia through 39 airports, as well as in managing regulatory changes in the aviation industry
This includes the government’s plan to move towards a Regulated Assets Based framework, which will allow airport operators to recover the investments they put in towards capacity expansion and service level enhancements
He also spoke on MAHB’s drive to improve service quality and passenger experience at Malaysian airports, in line with the targets set by the Malaysian Aviation Commission’s (Mavcom) Quality of Service (QoS) framework which measures passenger comfort at an airport
Raja Azmi has previously said that he wants to benchmark all international airports to ACI’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) programme
