Mahathir Should Accept Najib S Invitation To A Debate

In essence, Mahathir is a coward. He attacks those who do not fight back. And now Najib wants to openly debate him but Mahathir does not dare accept that challenge. Mahathir will not go on stage and attack Najib if Najib is going to debate all those allegations. Mahathir only wants to attack if that person does not fight back. NO HOLDS BARED

For seven years since 2013, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has had so much to say about Najib Tun Razak (all negative, of course). Mahathir “opened fire” soon after the May 2013 general election by accusing Najib of focusing too much on the Chinese and not giving enough attention to the Malays.
In the 2008 general election before that (Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was the PM then), Barisan Nasional won 140 parliament seats but in the 2013 general election (with Najib as PM) it dropped to 133, a reduction of seven seats.
And this upset Mahathir. He said the Malays are Umno’s backbone so the government’s focus should be on the Malay voters. It is pointless focusing on the Chinese who would never support the government and would vote for DAP, or a DAP-backed coalition, never mind what you do for them. Hence, as the Malays would say, it is like pouring water over a yam leaf.
And this is actually very true. During the Malayan Emergency it was proven that the Chinese played both sides. While they demanded Malayan citizenship (and Chinese schools), they sided with the China-backed CPM to try to bring down the “Malay” government and turn Malaya into a Communist Republic under China’s domination.
In 2014, Mahathir stepped up the attacks against Najib. Mahathir had decided that Najib is an obstacle to his son Mukhriz’s political career. Mahathir wanted Mukhriz to become the future prime minister (PM8 or PM9) but Najib was not helping to make that happen. Hence Najib had to be removed.
So, for three years from February 2015 to May 2018, Mahathir attacked Najib like there was no tomorrow. And this made DAP and Pakatan Harapan so ecstatic they rewarded Mahathir with the post of PM for two years (after which he would hand that post to Anwar Ibrahim).
Two years as PM should be long enough for Mahathir to finish whatever “unfinished business” he had (which was to position Mukhriz as a future PM and get back the RM100 billion which he has “parked” under trustees, proxies and nominees and which are “stuck”).
Mahathir attacked Najib because Najib did not fight back but just kept quiet and let him get away with it (which was Najib’s mistake and weakness). Another person other than Najib would have finished off Mahathir and his entire family — plus friends, cronies and proxies.
Remember what Mahathir did to Anwar Ibrahim and all his friends, supporters and proxies in 1998? Mahathir rounded everyone up under detention without trial. Many “turned” to save themselves (no need to mention names) and some left the country and until today have not returned to Malaysia.
Yes, Mahathir did what Stalin did to Lenin and his people in Russia 100 years ago.
But Najib is not like that even though he could have put Mahathir and all his children and friends in jail on legitimate criminal charges (not fabricated charges or detention without trial like what Mahathir did in 1998). And that was why Mahathir was bold and relentless. He knew he was safe and that Najib would not use the full apparatus of the police against him.
In essence, Mahathir is a coward. He attacks those who do not fight back. And now Najib wants to openly debate him but Mahathir does not dare accept that challenge. Mahathir will not go on stage and attack Najib if Najib is going to debate all those allegations. Mahathir only wants to attack if that person does not fight back.
The Memali murders back in 1985 already showed what stuff Mahathir is made of. Mahathir asked Tun Musa Hitam to take the rap while he hid in his office and pretended to be in China. Mahathir did not want to take responsibility or answer for the Memali murders and he made someone else take the fall instead.
Now is the best opportunity for Mahathir to debate Najib and prove everything he said about Najib all these years. I am sure this will be the debate of the century and 20 million Malaysians would be glued to their TV to watch it live. So why will Mahathir not accept Najib’s challenge? Takut apa?

Nothing for us to debate since you’ve been convicted, Dr Mahathir tells Najib (MMO) – Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has dismissed Pekan MP Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s invitation to a public debate.
On Twitter, the Langkawi MP said he saw no need debate with Najib, who is also a former PM.
“There is no reason to debate with Datuk Seri Najib Razak who has had all the charges against him proven in court,” Dr Mahathir said.
He was referring to Najib’s conviction on July 28 by the High Court here on seven charges of money, laundering, criminal breach of trust, and abuse of power over RM42 million that belonged to SRC International Sdn Bhd.
Yesterday, Najib responded to a user comment on Facebook by saying he was ready to debate Dr Mahathir at any opportunity.
“No problem. When I was prime minister, he asked me to a debate but I did not want to. When he became the seventh prime minister, I asked him to a debate but he did not want to.
“Since we are both no longer prime ministers, we can debate if he wishes to. Anytime!” Najib wrote.
