Larry Sng Says Zuraida Is Desperate And She Calls Him Childish
(The Star) – The candidate for Julau PKR chief Larry Sng has lashed out at the party’s Wanita chief in a Facebook post, as the split in the two camps – between those supporting Rafizi Ramli and those backing Datuk Seri Azmin Ali – widened.
Larry Sng, the MP of Julau, lambasted PKR Wanita chief Zuraida Kamaruddin, the Housing and Local Government Minister, in his posting dated Monday (Nov 5).
He wrote that his “opponents are at the point of desperation in Julau”.
Zuraida, in turn, characterised him as “childish’.
Sng is “a childish kid on the new block” said Zuraida
Sng is openly aligned with the team of Rafizi, whereas Zuraida is with the team of incumbent PKR deputy president Azmin.
Azmin and Rafizi are in a neck-and-neck race for the post of deputy president, with the former currently in the lead.
“My opponents are at the point of desperation in Julau,” said Sng.
“In 2014, out of 623 eligible voters in Julau, only 16 voted; 16. That is less than 3% of eligible voters!! That is why they are constantly attacking me in the press, to make sure that me and thousands of my supporters don’t get to vote for team Rafizi.
“Below are the pictures of their function attended by the Minister of Housing and the deputy speaker of Parliament, in Julau today. Attended by… I let the picture speak for itself.
“Small and beautiful. 100% turnout. Hidup Pakatan!” wrote Sng in a sarcastic tone in his Facebook with a photo of Zuraida sitting with Julau PKR leaders.
Zuraida, who admitted she was in Julau yesterday (Nov 5), said Sng was being “childish” in his FB post.
“A childish kid on the new block,” she responded on Sng’s posting.
The Julau PKR has been in the news recently after its membership reportedly spiked from only 603 on June 26 to 13,000 a day later.
A statutory declaration by PKR Sarawak information chief Vernon Kedit on Oct 17 cast suspicion on the membership of more than 1,000 people in the Julau and Sarikei branches.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is currently looking into allegations of money politics in Julau.
