Its Time To Go Abroad
I believe its time for Umno President Zahid Hamidi to 'emulate' what's Dr Mahathir, Lim Kit Siang and Co did when they were the Opposition - reaching out for international attention and support.
But he shouldn't be carbon-copying their methods of spewing lies and slanders. At a time, they went against their own country by persuading foreign investors not to bring money to Malaysia, that the country was unstable and in disarray.
Umno should be more positive, telling the truth about the actual situation of the country. Forget about the rickety Pakatan Harapan, think more about Malaysians. They need our help, Malaysia needs foreign direct investments (FDIs) and a forward-looking community.
But it is not happening under Dr Mahathir. His 'sulky' mode during a meeting with Langkawi taxi drivers on Oct 21 is not to be taken seriously. No way he'll resign. We had experienced it in 2003 during Umno general assembly. He shed crocodile tears when announcing intention to quit. Rafidah was first for him to seek solace, and the rest is history.
Let's urge the Diplomatic Corp in Malaysia, United Nations and world community to apply pressure on the Malaysian government to stop its 'witch-hunting' and blaming the previous government to justify its own weaknesses.
The selective prosecution against the Opposition Leader, former premier Najib Razak and other leaders of Umno and Barisan Nasional is only perceived as a political move to sweep the dirt under the carpet.
Creating evidence and buying alibis are getting rampant in the central government, which now have the judiciary, the police and anti--graft organisation in their hands. By flexing muscles on these authorities, it left them to no choice but to go on with 'politically-motivated' vendetta against leaders of the Opposition.
This is akin to seeing the demise of the Opposition, which will provide no dissension to the dictatorial current regime.
When they are suppose to carry on with development agendas for the country and people, they enjoy pointing fingers to the previous government as to elude questions of their own wrongdoings.
Looks like PH is not even bothered that this approach is a time-bomb, it could explode anytime. It could lead to instability.
And thanks them for bluffing us on the economy. The 11MP mid-term report clearly indicates that our foreign debt is not RM1 trillion as fabricated earlier. We can understand that they need diversion for the disability to fulfil the manifesto.
However, the people is fast awakened by all these. Bread and butter issue is not attended to properly. If the cab drivers' woes are not for the government to solve, the what about the masses?
Umno and Malaysia need the world attention, at least for the 'unmoveable' regime. What happens to Zahid is a chime that until he submits to Dr Mahathir's need, he will keep on sharpening his knives on him, and his subordinates.
To the international community, now is our turn!
