In the SOPs updated yesterday, it said all economic and industrial sectors under RMCO will go on as usual.
Supermarkets, malls, retail stores and sundry shops are allowed to operate from 6am to midnight.
Eateries, food trucks, hawkers, food courts are also allowed to operate within the same time limit.
Dine-ins are permitted at eateries, including in hotels, with strict SOPs, including 1m physical distancing and seating up to 50% of table capacity.
Daily markets are allowed to operate from 6am to 6pm, tamu (communal markets) and agriculture-based markets (pasar tani) from 6am to 2pm. These are subject to approval by the respective local authorities.
Night markets are not allowed.
Laundrettes, fuel stations, barbershops and spa and reflexology centres, among others, can also operate from 6am to midnight, in accordance with the strict SOPs.
Yesterday, senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that businesses in the peninsula and Labuan will only be allowed to operate from 8am to 8pm under MCO 3.0
Meanwhile, Sabah local government and housing minister Masidi Manjun advised those who have visited Labuan or received visitations from individuals from the island to be extra cautious.
This is after the entry of Labuan residents that triggered two clusters in the state.
“This is to ensure efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19 can be maintained,” he said, in his daily statement yesterday.
He said following the spike in cases in Labuan, which registered 120 cases in the past two days, and people from Labuan coming over, Sabah has seen the emergence of two clusters, namely the Abaka cluster in Tawau and Melikai cluster in Menumbok, Kuala Penyu. - FMT
