Is Ismail Sabri A Strong Or Weak Leader
And now Ismail Sabri needs to turn his attention to his enemies underneath his blanket. Spring is here so Ismail Sabri needs to do some serious spring cleaning. He needs to get rid of the rats and cockroaches lurking in the dark corners. And a merciful leader is a weak leader. Even Prophet Muhammad did not show mercy to the traitors in Medina. He chopped off their heads and seized their property and family.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Umno is divided into three camps — Camp Zahid Hamidi, Camp Najib Razak, and Camp Ismail Sabri.
According to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the prime minister always has the advantage of incumbency. The post of prime minister gives him an edge over his challengers. Hence Ismail Sabri Yaakob cannot be that easily ousted.
The fact that Zahid and Najib are trying to oust Ismail Sabri to save themselves from going to jail sway public opinion towards Ismail Sabri.
In olden days combat, all the army holding the fort needs to do is to stay put. The army storming the fort needs to work twice as hard to bring down the fort. The best the army storming the fort can do is to starve those inside the fort into surrendering. But if they have enough food and water, the army outside the fort dies first, mainly of disease.
So it is all a matter of siapa boleh tahan lagi lama.
They are trying to take the credit away from Ismail Sabri lest he score points with the rakyat
Ismail Sabri has time on his side. He can sit in his fort for the next one year and sleep well at night. However, the army on the outside storming the fort does not have time on its side. Either the fort falls within the next six months or else all will be lost.
So Ismail Sabri just needs to make the rakyat happy. They want their EPF money, give it to them. They want the SOP lifted, give it to them. They want government aid, give it to them (worry about how to pay the money back later — like what Boris Johnson is doing).
The barbarians are at the gate. Keep them outside the gate for a year. By six months, they will tire out and get weak. Then propose a truce. Get them to the negotiating table and let them walk away with their tails between their legs. And, if they refuse, then exterminate them and leave their bodies to rot and be eaten by the birds.
If you want to be prime minister then you need to be like Mahathir, not like Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Muhyiddin Yassin. Badawi and Muhyiddin surrendered the fort.
The golden rule of combat: kill or be killed
And do not be like Najib. Najib chose to fight on many fronts. He could have chosen PAS as an ally and engage Pakatan Harapan as a united force. But he did not, and instead he chose to divide his force and hence lost GE14.
In the Melaka and Johor state elections, the enemy forces were divided. Perikatan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan were fighting each other. Even PKR broke ranks with Pakatan Harapan. So Barisan Nasional was able to wipe them out.
