If We Can Ratify Icerd Then Why Not Recognise Israel As Well

If Shazwan is really sincere and serious about wanting ICERD, then he should also mention that ‘equality’ and ‘rights’ must also include the rights of Christians to preach Christianity to Muslims and for Muslims to leave Islam to become Christians (just like Muslims have the right to preach Islam to the Christians and for Christians to leave Christianity to become Muslims). Why is Shazwan not also propagating this if he wants ICERD?  NO HOLDS BARRED

In his article ‘Dear PAS and Umno, here’s something for you to rally about!’ Shazwan Mustafa Kamal, the Assistant News Editor of the Malay Mail Online, put forward very immature arguments that are totally off the mark (READ HERE).
Shazwan’s opening paragraph was:
So despite everything that’s happened in the past few weeks, PAS and Umno appear to be adamant about going ahead with the rally against the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) tomorrow.
Note that Shazwan used the word ‘adamant’. The word ‘adamant’ would be used in situations such as ‘the Indians are adamant about building Hindu temples on other people’s land’ or ‘the Chinese are adamant about maintaining segregated Chinese schools in spite of the serious deterioration of race relations in Malaysia’.
Basically, ‘adamant’ is a negative word just like the word ‘recalcitrant’, which Australia used on Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Hence Shazwan wants Malaysians to see the anti-ICERD rally as negative.

Shazwan wants Malaysians to rally against Tabung Haji instead of rallying against ICERD In the sixth paragraph, Shazwan says:
Out of 197 countries, 179 have ratified, acceded or succeeded and agreed to be bound by the ICERD, which seeks to oblige countries to ensure that everyone, regardless of race, is able to enjoy a long list of rights some may take for granted, including the rights to freedom of expression, peaceful assembly, work, housing, medical care, social security, education, and even the right to access places for public use such as restaurants, theatres and parks.
This is a typical Pakatan Harapan argument. The Pakatan argument is: If 179 out of 197 countries have ratified ICERD, why can’t Malaysia also ratify it?
Well, 161 out of 197 countries have recognised Israel’s right to exist. Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia are amongst the 36 countries that do not. Almost all the countries that have ratified ICERD recognise Israel. Should Malaysia not recognise Israel as well just like all those other countries that have ratified ICERD?

Countries that ratified ICERD also recognise Israel Why ratify ICERD but not recognise Israel’s right to exist? Is it because Israel annexed Palestine? Well, did Malaysia not also annex Sabah and Sarawak and also try to annex Brunei? If Israel gives Palestine independence will Malaysia also give Sabah and Sarawak independence?
Shazwan then talks about Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH) and says the people should rally against the abuse of power by its former chairman, Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, instead.
Two years ago, Malaysia Today had already exposed Azeez Rahim’s transgressions. In fact, Malaysia Today also exposed the transgressions of the FELDA chairman, Isa Samad, and the Attorney-General, Apandi Ali.
Many police reports were made against me (to date, over the last ten years, probably 50 or 60 police reports have been made against me) and the police came to the UK to record my statement. The police wanted me to prove my allegations and I did. I handed the police a thick file of documents that implicate Azeez Rahim, Isa Samad and Apandi Ali in all sorts of crimes?

Chinese are against the anti-ICERD rally for obvious reasons: they are against Malay unity Why did Shazwan not speak out then, two years ago? Why only speak out now as an excuse that Malaysians should rally against the transgressions in LTH instead of rallying against ICERD? What a shallow person this Shazwan is. How the hell did Malay Mail appoint such a childish person as their Assistant News Editor? How old is he, anyway?
