Honda Staff Gets Into Trouble For Racist Remarks On Fireman
Honda Staff Gets Into Trouble For Racist Remarks On Fireman | Honda Sri Utama Auto Sdn Bhd has suspended a female Chinese staff for allegedly making a racist comment pertaining to the death of a Malay fireman, by blaming the Muslim's god for "failing to save him", in reply to another commentator who put the blame on the government
The staff, Caryn Yean, was allegedly attributing the death of fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, who perished after answering an emergency call at a riot at a Hindu temple, to God as she tried to defend the government from blame

Adib died at the National Heart Institute last night after three weeks in hospital over severe injuries to his lungs and ribs after being assaulted by a mob during the riots at the Sri Maha Mariamman Devasthanam temple in Seafield, Subang Jaya on November 27
Yean’s alleged comment on Facebook, “Bkn kerajaan gagal...tuhan u yg gagal xsembuhkan adib” (It wasn’t the government who failed...it was your god who failed to heal Adib), had gone viral
Outraged netizens have demanded for Yean to be given the sack for her offensive remarks. A police report is believed to have been lodged against Yean
Meanwhile, Honda Sri Utama Auto Malaysia director Wong Chee Keong said that they sincerely apologised for the insensitive comment made by Yean and that the company has suspended her in a letter posted on the company’s Facebook page. Keong added that Honda has started an internal investigation, and will take the sternest action possible
