Anwar had also alleged that some of them were paid RM300 each in the constituency of caretaker prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
"Once we have any police report, we will allow PDRM to do a thorough investigation.
"At the moment, so far, I think we have not received any police report on that issue, " he said during a press conference here, at the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) Technical College.
Hamzah had earlier attended a briefing session on flood management procedures with some of the senior police officers of the state.
Malaysiakini reported that Anwar made his allegation at an event in Kuala Terengganu recently.
Early voting is scheduled for November 15.
"How did this (early voting) happen today? I’m worried there was money, pressure, and fraud involved,” he was quoted as saying.
In response, Ismail Sabri reportedly dismissed the claim as a lie and demanded that Anwar apologises to the Malaysian Armed Forces.
"The accusation that the military personnel were paid (to vote) is a malicious accusation. Do not insult them like that.
"I call on Anwar to retract the accusation and apologise, not to me, but to the military personnel who were accused of being paid to vote and everything,” national news agency Bernama reported him telling reporters, after attending a programme with the Orang Asli community in Kampung Bongkok. - malaymail
