Hamid Bador Was Not Serious About Bringing Jho Low Home To Face Trial

Okay, is it that Hamid Bador failed to do his job properly or is it that Hamid Bador purposely did not do his job properly — because they just were just pretending that they were trying to bring Jho Low back to Malaysia but, in fact, did not really want to bring him home to face trial? On 17th March 2021, outgoing Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Abdul Hamid Bador said failing to capture and extradite Low Taek Jho a.k.a. Jho Low back to Malaysia is the biggest regret of his entire career.
(READ HERE: Abdul Hamid’s only regret as IGP? Failing to capture and repatriate Jho Low) That is not really his one and only failure. There are many more, which he is not talking about, but which Malaysians will never forget.
Hamid said, despite his relentless attempts at trying to capture Jho Low, total cooperation between the international investigative and enforcement agencies was an important element that was missing throughout his efforts.
Hamid added that even with extreme efforts that saw him fly to a specific country to personally handle and negotiate the capture and repatriation of Jho Low there also proved to be insufficient.
“In normal circumstances, such requests (for repatriation) would be granted, like we have done so in the past with Indonesia, the US and even Thailand. But with this case, it was very difficult.”
“At the same time, we were receiving information that Jho Low was moving freely in that country and running all sorts of businesses. In matters of policing, we rely on the good faith between each other where we believe in them and they trust us; it should be we help them, they reciprocate, but in this case, it never happened.”
“I am extremely disappointed that by the time I retire, I never managed to come good on my intention and promise to bring him back.”

Hamid revealed that police intelligence showed that Jho Low is currently residing in Macau, with fellow fugitive businessman Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil, who is said to be in Hong Kong, also managing to dodge being captured by the authorities.
“We were given the address of his children’s schools, we knew his wife flew there from Indonesia, so it is impossible not to locate them especially when you consider that these countries are talking about 5G, 6G, 7G technology. It cannot be that someone who is that influential is this hard to locate.”
Now, there are a few things to note regarding Hamid Bador’s revelation. First is that they know where Jho Low and all his cohorts (plus members of their family) are living (not ‘hiding’ but ‘living’).
Secondly, Bukit Aman has been in touch with their counterparts in that country. However, the police force in that country is not cooperating, as they normally should. In other words, the police force in that country is giving Jho Low and all those other fugitives protection.
Thirdly and most important of all, Hamid Bador has personally flown to that country in question to try to bring Jho Low home to Malaysia but could not succeed.

Dr Mahathir said Malaysia and Macau do not have an extradition treaty, which means Malaysia needs to go to court to extradite Jho Low back to Malaysia, but they did not do this From what we can gather, Hamid Bador’s failure is because the police force in that country where Jho Low is living (not hiding) is not helping to capture Jho Low and send him home to Malaysia.
Is this because Jho Low has bought off the police in that country, or is this because the Malaysian police failed to adhere to the proper procedure and protocol in an extradition exercise?
That is what we need to talk about and not talk about all those other cock and bull stories
In early June 2018, then Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Jho Low is living in Macau. However, Malaysia does not have an extradition treaty with Macau. Hence, the government cannot extradite Jho Low back to Malaysia.
That is true. Malaysia cannot AUTOMATICALLY extradite Jho Low back to Malaysia because there is not extradition treaty between Malaysia and Macau. But Malaysia can still officially apply to the Macau government to extradite Jho Low to Malaysia through the court.
In other words, Malaysia will first need to go to court to prove its case against Jho Low. And if the court is convinced that there is a case, they can then grant the extradition request and Jho Low will be arrested and handed to the Malaysian government.
The failure is not on the part of the Macau government. The fault is on the part of the Pakatan Harapan government. Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was the Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Bador was the IGP, Tommy Thomas was the AG, Latheefa Beebi Koya was the MACC Commissioner, and Zeti Akhtar Aziz was the Bank Negara Malaysia Governor, while Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus was her deputy (who initially handled the 1MDB matter).

Nor Shamsiah gave Najib permission to bring the US680 million into Malaysia Instead of blaming the Macau government or the Macau police for not cooperating, what did Dr Mahathir, Hamid, Tommy, Latheefa, Zeti and Nor Shamsiah do to prove to the Macau court that they have a case against Jho Low — and hence he must be arrested and extradited back to Malaysia?
This is the same as my case back in 2009. The Malaysian government wanted to extradite me back to Malaysia. So they discussed this with the British government. They even showed the British government the warrant for arrest they had issued for me.
But then Malaysia and Britain do not have an extradition treaty (just like in the Macau case). So, they need to first prove their case in a British court and convince the judge that there is a case against me. If the judge is convinced that there is a case, the court will then recommend my extradition.
The recommendation then goes to the Home Office and the Home Minister will have the final say as to whether to extradite me back to Malaysia or not.

It was Zeti who asked Najib to bank the money into his personal bank account and not into Umno’s bank account However, before they can even start extradition proceedings, it first needs to pass the test of “dual criminality”. In other words, that co-called crime that I am alleged to have committed in Malaysia must also be a crime in the UK (hence sodomy would fail that dual criminality test since gay relationships are not a crime in the UK).
In other words, the Malaysian government failed to do its job. It is not that the Macau police is corrupt, or they gave Jho Low protection, or they did not cooperate with the Malaysian police (as what Hamid Bador is suggesting). It is that Hamid Bador did not do his job properly.
Okay, is it that Hamid Bador failed to do his job properly or is it that Hamid Bador purposely did not do his job properly — because they just were just pretending that they were trying to bring Jho Low back to Malaysia but, in fact, did not really want to bring him home to face trial?
If, I, who am not a police officer or a lawyer, know that a certain procedure or protocol needs to be followed to extradite someone from another country when there is no extradition treaty, surely Dr Mahathir, Hamid, Tommy, Latheefa, Zeti and Nor Shamsiah would know as well.
The truth is, while it is true that Hamid Bador flew to Macau, he did not go to Macau to file any action in court to extradite Jho Low back to Malaysia, he went to Macau to meet Jho Low to negotiate a deal.
In short, Hamid Bador is lying. And Tun Dr Mahathir, Tommy Thomas, Latheefa Koya, Zeti Aziz and Nor Shamsiah Yunus are all hiding the truth about what Hamid Bador was trying to do.

Why did Tommy Thomas not file Jho Low’s extradition papers in court? What they wanted was for Jho Low to testify against Najib Tun Razak in exchange for immunity from arrest and prosecution. Jho Low agreed on condition that he can keep all the money he stole. Mahathir, however, disagreed. He wanted Jho Low to return the stolen money, which Jho Low refused to do so.
That is why Hamid Bador failed to bring Jho Low home. It is not because the Macau police is corrupt, or that they refused to cooperate with the Malaysian police, or the Macau police is giving Jho Low protection.
Okay, so Hamid Bador’s negotiation with Jho Low failed. Why not then just go to court and get the judge to grant them approval to extradite Jho Low?
Because then Jho Low would be a hostile witness and will not be a prosecution witness. And they are worried about what Jho Low might reveal in court. They cannot afford for the REAL truth to be revealed in court. They need the “sanitised” version of the truth.
The Pakatan Harapan government has been lying to us and has been hiding the truth from Malaysians. They want to make it look like Malaysia is in a financial mess because of 1MDB and that Pakatan Harapan helped save the country. Pakatan Harapan wants Malaysians to hear the narrative that makes Pakatan Harapan look good and Barisan Nasional, Muafakat Nasional and Perikatan Nasional look bad.
Do you know Bank Negara Governor Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus did not agree that AmBank be made to pay the RM2.83 billion? She wanted to impose a penalty of only RM600 million, a discount of RM2.23 billion.
Why?
The same with the Goldman Sachs settlement. They wanted to settle for just US$1.5 billion instead of US$3.9 billion.
Again, why?
And it was Nor Shamsiah who gave Najib permission to bring in the US$680 million — and it was Zeti who suggested that the US$680 million be banked into Najib’s personal bank account instead of into Umno’s bank account “to avoid complications”.
Why is all this not being revealed?
Whether Najib did or did not steal 1MDB’s money is for the judges to decide. But one thing I do know, Dr Mahathir, Hamid Bador, Tommy Thomas, Latheefa Koya, Zeti Aziz and Shamsiah Yunus are guilty of complicity, of manipulation, of hiding the truth, and of lying to Malaysians regarding what is really going on.
