Fuziah To Loke Sabah Polls Didn T Change Harapan S Support For Hajiji
PKR secretary-general Fuziah Salleh defended her act of declaring Pakatan Harapan and its ally Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) had enough seats to form the Sabah government on the evening of Nov 29.
This came after DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke reportedly slammed her for jumping the gun by making such an announcement unilaterally and ahead of official election results.
Fuziah said Harapan has been consistent in supporting the leadership of GRS chairperson Hajiji Noor, and that was not changed by the state polls.
“Harapan remains consistent in our support for Hajiji from day one.
“The outcome of Sabah election results would not have changed Harapan’s stance supporting a state government which is in line with the federal Madani government,” she said in a text message.
Malaysiakini contacted Fuziah, who is the domestic trade and costs of living deputy minister, over remarks that Loke made during a recent interview with the Chinese-language YouTube channel “The Keywords”.

DAP secretary-general Anthony LokeLoke had criticised Fuziah, saying she should not have made the announcement as it only invited ridicule against Harapan.
“Such an announcement should not have been made; this is an announcement that invites ridicule. Firstly, you only have one seat. What are you talking about, forming a state government?
“Furthermore, the formation of the state government should have been done by the largest party, the one that won the most seats, which is GRS,” he had said.
According to the Seremban MP, Hajiji should have been the one to make the call. - Mkini
