Four Parties Joining Pn Revealed Zahid Says Umno Will Stick With Bn Logo

SLIM POLLS | Four of the five parties that have formally registered to join the Perikatan Nasional coalition have been revealed to be MIC, STAR, Bersatu and PAS
Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi disclosed this during an event in Slim River where he was campaigning for BN's Mohd Zaidi Aziz who is contesting in the Slim by-election
He did not reveal the fifth party. The PN government is comprised of 12 parties. However, not all parties agree about formally joining the coalition for the next general election
The 12 parties in the PN government are Bersatu, BN (Umno, MCA, MIC and PBRS), PAS, GPS (PBB, PRS, PDP and SUPP), PBS and STAR
Zahid, who is also the BN chairperson, said the registration is "not a problem" but maintained that BN's logo will be used in the next general election
"According to the information I have received, MIC is one of the parties that have registered for PN, together with PAS, STAR and Bersatu
"This is not a problem for now as PN has to be registered
"Umno and BN's position remains that Umno and BN candidates will use the 'scale' logo in the next general election," he was quoted as saying by Bernama
Earlier today, International Trade and Industry Minister Azmin Ali revealed that five parties have registered to join PN but only disclosed Bersatu, PAS and "part of BN" as among its members, according to Bernama
Azmin was also campaigning in the Slim by-election for BN's candidate
On a separate matter, Zahid said negotiations on seat distribution in the Sabah election will only be finalised a week before the nomination day on Sept 12. Polling day is on Sept 26
He said negotiations have taken place with several parties including PCS, SAPP, LDP, STAR, PBS and PPRS but made no mention of Bersatu, its splinter party which it faces the most overlap with
Zahid said BN secretary-general Annuar Musa and Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan will be the coordinators for the Sabah snap polls. - Mkini
