Foreign Workers Or Pedophiles Large Number Of Migrants At Playground Sparks Debate

EVERY developing nation can attest to the importance of foreign labour, especially when its citizens are reluctant to take on jobs that are deemed lowly and low paying. 
But while some people are completely fine with foreign individuals propping up the country’s economy, they in the same breath cannot stand the sight of the poor.
Recently, a video post on X surfaced, showing a notice in a playground that foreign workers are not allowed there, and that the place was reserved for residents only.

Ironically, quite a number of foreign nationals could be seen, completely disregarding the notice. They either sat on the benches or slept at the bottom of the slides.
The man who recorded the video could be seen scolding them and telling them to get out. A caption in the video further claimed that the area in question was Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
Interestingly, a good number of netizens were cynical about the presence of these people. Netizen in lowkey mood said it was frightening as they appeared to be observing the children.

“If you don’t have your own children, why are you sitting at the playground and playing with your phone,” said Eddie, adding that they oozed the vibes of a pedophile.
Another netizen pointed out that these people could be recording the children on their phones. “The kids can’t even play in peace,” he said.
However, from the brief information provided in the video post, no evidence could be derived suggesting that the foreign workers had committed any offenses.
One netizen suggested that the police should make their rounds there. “The more the better,” said Mob Syafiq.

Ben added that people can try call the immigration department and watch if they ran away like cockroaches. 
Not sure if this is sarcasm or not, but Lee Jalee dkj said the notice should be written in foreign language, followed by Malay at the bottom. 

“Forget the Chinese language. If there are still foreign nationals there, call the relevant authorities,” he said.
On another note, perhaps these foreign nationals are congregating in the playground as their homes are either overcrowded or is not conducive for living.
Quite a number of them live in construction sites that are either dusty, noisy or both.
Likely, the open space in the playground and all the greenery present an utopia that draws a huge contrast against the sight and sounds they are all too familiar with. —Focus Malaysia
