Don T Take Advantage Of Food Banks

The food banks are for those in need and the hungry. Many people have lost their jobs resulting in their inability to provide food for the family or even for themselves.
Many generous Malaysian individuals and shops have set up food banks. The food offered is not targeted for any race or religion but for anyone in need, even for foreign workers who have been affected.
It was heart-wrenching when I viewed a video of a family of four able-bodied people in a car who turned up at a food bank and helped themselves. From the video, one of the four even used a crutch on her left, but it did not look like she was injured or handicapped.
I feel that anyone who comes to the food bank in a car should not be allowed to take any item. It is heartless for any able-bodied person to abuse any food bank and the kindness of generous Malaysians.
To these people, I say please do not be selfish. Think of those who are more in need. Every Malaysian should come together to help one another during this trying period.
Stay safe and strong as we must fight together to overcome this brutal pandemic.
