A police officer apparently chided a cosplayer over her costume.PETALING JAYA: Disciplinary action will be taken against the police officer who chided a cosplayer over her costume after the latter had lodged a report against her alleged stalker for harassment.
Petaling Jaya district police chief Mohamad Fakhruddin Abdul Hamid said the probe against the police officer had been completed.
“We will only take disciplinary action against the officer. And there are various forms of disciplinary action that can be taken, including denying him a raise,” he said when contacted.
Two days ago, it was reported that the officer in question would be probed for alleged victim-blaming.

The police officer had allegedly told the victim – who had lodged a report at the Kelana Jaya station – that she was also “in the wrong” for dressing the way she did.
The woman claimed that she was wearing a jacket to hide her costume when she lodged the report.
Separately, Fakhruddin said that no action would be taken against the stalker.
“We found no criminal element in the case.”
According to the victim, the stalker had gone to see her during an event called Anime Fest at Paradigm Mall.
In her report, she said that after she warned the man not to harass her, the man lost his cool and created a scene there.
He then pushed her friend who had attempted to protect her before screaming and begging her to take a picture with him. - FMT
