The Music Run by CIMB is back, bigger than before while championing sustainability

The Music Run by CIMB – Perhaps the most entertaining, music-filled 'soundtrack' running event returns for its seventh edition with the return of CIMB Group (CIMB) as presenting partner. After his three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the highly anticipated run will take place on Saturday 3 December 2022 at Technology Park Malaysia (TPM) in Bukit Jalil.
Music Run started in 2014 with the concept of combining the social pastime of sharing music with the world's most accessible sport: running. As with previous events, hoping to educate the public about reducing carbon emissions, the music run by CIMB will incorporate an enhanced sustainability component in collaboration with sustainable partners, Light up Malaysia's first carbon-neutral mass event.
The occasion calls on urbanites to Live The Beat to constantly try to be the higher variations of themselves even as championing sustainability and a wholesome lifestyle. This year`s version will gift each a 5km Fun Run (for folks that opt to walk, dance or jog at the Sound Track run course), in addition to a 5km Timed Run for folks that need a legit time to qualify for the winner`s trophy and prize money.

THE MUSIC RUN, AN INTERNATIONAL EVENT
Since its inception, The Music Run has made a name for itself by hosting the best finish line parties, winning multiple awards in the Best Event category at The Marketing Events Awards. Currently, The Music Run is an international event that has been held 35 times in 13 countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Taiwan and China, with more than 250,000 participants.
The previous edition, held from 2017 to 2019, sold out with 18,000 attendees each year. This year's edition is about to once again raise the bar for the biggest and best ever.
SHOWCASE OF LOCAL BANDS, GUEST DJ'S, 
After the music run, attendees can enjoy a fun, safe, healthy, clean and alcohol-free experience at our acclaimed live-the-beat show. Known for its main stage showcasing local bands and infectious, energetic performances, this year will feature a showcase of local bands and guest DJs with Australian DJs Sam Withers and DJ Jesse Lawrence.
