Covid 19 More New Cases In Klang Valley Than In Sabah

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 1,304 new Covid-19 cases and a record number of active cases. 
The number of new cases reported today in Klang Valley regions also exceeded the figure reported in Sabah. 
Leading indicators, as of today, in brief:
Active cases = 11,822 ↑ (403 more than the previous day)Patients in intensive care = 96 ↑ (4 more than the previous day)Intubated patients = 39 ↑ (4 more than the previous day)Deaths = 1Sabah was the epicentre of the third Covid-19 wave in the country in recent months.
That changed on Nov 9 when Peninsular Malaysia regions started reporting more new cases than Sabah.
Today, new cases in the Klang Valley region amounted to 43.2 percent of cases reported today against 42.6 percent of cases coming from Sabah.
Three clusters which emerged from Klang Valley - Hentian, Tapak Bina Damanlela and Perigi) accounted for 83 percent of the new cases in the territories.
Sabah continued to account for the largest number of Covid-19 deaths in the country.
One new death reported today in Sabah. The cumulative Covid-19 death toll for Sabah is 166 or 54.61 percent of the national total (304).

The victim is a 70-year-old Malaysian citizen who died at the Tuaran Hospital.

Of the 1,304 new cases reported, only four were import cases. A breakdown of the remaining cases involving local transmission are as follows:

During a daily press briefing today, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the Health Ministry has classified four new clusters.
The largest was Bonggaya, involving the Sandakan district in Sabah, where 46 cases have been attributed to this cluster so far.
The index cases were detected during targeted community screening on Oct 27.
The Jambatan B cluster involved the same district and 53 cases so far. The index case had reported symptoms on Oct 17.
The Abell cluster involved the Kuching district in Sarawak. The index case was detected after voluntarily undergoing a Covid-19 test. So far, 14 cases have been attributed to this cluster.

The BMU cluster involved the Jasin district in Malacca. The index case reported symptoms on Nov 11. So far, 10 cases have been attributed to this cluster. - Mkini
