Covid 19 In Bentong 65 Businesses Ordered To Close For Cleaning

Tourism and retail businesses are expected to have a bit of breather when the government no longer prohibits inter-district and interstate travel, under new guidelines issued yesterday.
However, 65 businesses in Bentong, Pahang would have to wait a bit longer as they were ordered to close down for three days starting today after local authorities found that their premises were recently visited by Covid-19 positive individuals.
Among the businesses affected are 10 retailers at the Genting Highlands Premium Outlet (GHPO), and 11 other premises located at Genting Highlands.
The other 44 premises belong to businesses around the district, including coffee shops, clinics and convenient stores.
According to notices issued by the Bentong Municipal Council earlier today, the premises were ordered to close from today until Tuesday (Dec 8) and they are to carry out disinfection activities as soon as possible.
"For your information, the 3-day closure was to allow disinfection activities to be carried out at all the business premises listed.
"The notice is effective starting today, and had been served by the Public Services Department of Bentong Municipal Council," the council said on its Facebook page. 
It added that the orders issued were based on a list that was provided by the health authorities.
