Bentong Slips Into Yellow Zone Four States Are Free Of Covid 19

CORONAVIRUS | The number of areas that are free of Covid-19, referred to as "green zones" declined by one to 91, according to data provided by the Health Ministry
This follows Bentong slipping into the yellow zone after recording one new active Covid-19 case
A yellow zone refers to an area that has one to 40 active Covid-19 cases while a red zone means the area has 41 or more active Covid-19 cases
The latest development brings the total yellow zones to 58, up by one from yesterday
The number of red zones remains at eight
The current red zones are Lembah Pantai (258 active cases), Kuching (143), Kepong (84), Titiwangsa (74), Kluang (70), Kota Samarahan (54), Johor Bahru (46), Titiwangsa (74) and Hulu Langat (50)
Perak, Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan are the only four states that are completely free of active Covid-19 cases as all previous patients have since recovered
As of noon yesterday, the country recorded 6,071 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 103 deaths
However, 4,210 of these have recovered while another 1,758 are in treatment
The infection rate has gone down after more than a month of partial lockdown, referred to as the movement control order (MCO)
The MCO began on March 18 and is set to end on May 12
Under the MCO, all non-essential businesses and services were ordered to be closed and people cannot leave their homes except for approved reasons, such as buying groceries within a 10km radius
The move, aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19, has brought a large part of the country's economy to a standstill
The government will reopen a large section of the economy on May 4 but with stringent guidelines
