KK Voter: I am not a fan of former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, but this amounts to accusing him of being guilty without having to prove it in court, a low-class move.
Take Mahathir to court, as someone suggested - if he’s guilty, then commute his sentence due to his age and status as a former prime minister.
On another note, this seems like setting a precedent for “ex-prime minister privilege”. Why? Is something coming up that the rakyat don’t know about?

Since it’s not nice to place the blame merely on the ex-prime minister, should Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim not consider all that blame now transferred across to Mahathir’s cabinet of ministers?
After all, they were picked by him, and they “allowed themselves to be deceived?” These are accountability and responsibility issues.
Please do not insinuate that former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak could also be forgiven because of his former position and being a senior citizen.

He is willing to accept someone who said he would never work with him as deputy prime minister, of course, a certain VVIP in Kajang Prison.

Remember, the Attorney-General's Chambers said they will only take a case to court if there is a good chance of conviction… I think.
CareOneCareAll: Each time the prime minister opens his mouth and spews out nonsensical remarks, he puts himself on the “firing line” as many people have more common sense than him.
To be “hentam” by PAS showed how “silly” his remarks were in this case, and as we know, PAS doesn’t care much about facts and common sense in its political arguments.

We won’t get back what was given, just to know the truth is the primary purpose of the RCI. What’s the link to the late Daim Zainuddin? 
Bluemountains: It looks like Mahathir may have a record of the dirty laundry of some leaders, past and present.  
These leaders may be afraid that Mahathir will spill the beans.  But for the late Daim, it is like all-out revenge to settle old scores.
Do not be too extreme and hurt his family. Live and let live.

What did your wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, do? She was the deputy prime minister then.
Did she speak up? Heck, what did your allies DAP and Amanah do as they were in the cabinet then? Did they speak up?
The reason no action is taken is that you know very well that each one of you was complicit in the decision.

He is in no position to represent the courts on whether to charge or not to charge Mahathir. His actions speak volumes, and that is the reason why the RCI mooted by Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli must proceed, and the judiciary must be independent of the executive.

If Mahathir is found guilty, then you can be magnanimous and say he is pardoned due to age!  
Now, this matter will forever remain a question mark hanging over Mahathir’s head. Is this a pay-back plan?
YellowIguana4018: Under the Federal Constitution, it is the power of the public prosecutor to decide whether to charge someone or not. It is not for the cabinet to decide.
Is this an admission of interference with the prosecutorial powers of the public prosecutor? Very worrying.
Just a Malaysian: Anwar, you know that the International Court of Justice arbitration is final with no appeal process.
It is not a court where you can appeal to the highest authority. Both Singapore and Malaysia agreed beforehand to accept where the decision falls.
Now that we have lost Pulau Batu Puteh, we act like sore losers.

This is probably an attempt to stop Mahathir and his supporters from constantly attacking him. And also to slowly get Mahathir’s supporters over to his side.
