6 Teenagers Plead Guilty To Raping A Form Two Student

Eight teenagers were charged in Kelantan with raping a 14-year-old girl on multiple occasions between August and September this year, with two pleading not guilty. (Reuters pic)PETALING JAYA: Six teenagers pleaded guilty at the Bachok magistrates’ court to raping a Form Two student in Tawang, Kelantan, between August and September.
The six, all of whom are 15 years old, had their pleas recorded before magistrate Fauzan Suhairi.
Each of the accused was charged with two to three counts of raping the victim, who was 14 years and 10 months old, according to a report in Berita Harian.
They were alleged to have raped her in a room at a restaurant in Jelawat, Bachong, between 12.30pm and 2.30am, on various dates from mid-August to September.

All six were charged under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code for rape which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years’ jail as well as whipping.
Deputy public prosecutor Hakimie Hadi prosecuted while the six boys were represented by Norizaidah Abdul Salam from the National Legal Aid Foundation.
The court granted bail of RM2,000 for each of the accused and fixed Dec 13 for mention.
Meanwhile, two other 18-year-olds were charged in the sessions court in Kota Bharu on three charges of rape on the same dates and at the same location.
Both the accused pleaded not guilty when the charges were read in front of judge Zul Zakiqudin Zulkifli.
Bail of RM10,000 was set for one of the accused while the other was denied bail.
The court fixed Nov 23 for mention. - FMT
