Khaled Nordin claimed that PH leaders did not care about the voters in Johor. (Facebook pic)KOTA TINGGI: Umno vice-president Khaled Nordin said Barisan Nasional (BN) is expected to put up a good showing in the 15th general election (GE15), especially in Johor as the people have lost faith in Pakatan Harapan (PH).
He claimed Johor voters were tired of PH’s many lies, saying this was the reason why BN stood a good chance of performing well.
According to him, after PH won the last general election (GE14), voters in Johor were unable to meet their leaders.
“PH’s only focus in the last election was to get as many parliamentary seats as possible. It did not care about the voters,” the former Johor menteri besar told FMT.
Khaled, who is contesting the Kota Tinggi parliamentary seat this time after losing in Pasir Gudang to PKR’s Hassan Karim in GE14, felt that voters would not choose PH again after what they had gone through when it was in power.
“We saw a lot of seats during the Johor state polls where voters chose BN over PH. I’m also very sure that the voters are attracted to the BN manifesto,” he said.
BN’s manifesto contains 99 pledges, including promises to develop Sabah and Sarawak in line “with the spirit of the Federal Constitution” and uphold equitable development between East and West Malaysia.
