Syed Saddiq Mocks Nga Over Good Feng Shui
Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman says his constituency also has good ‘ong’ and ‘feng shui’, so housing and local government minister Nga Kor Ming should come and see for himself.PETALING JAYA: Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has launched a tongue-in-cheek attack on housing and local government minister Nga Kor Ming following his announcement of development funding for Kuala Kubu Bharu ahead of the by-election on May 11.
“The minister said, ‘This has nothing to do with the election but because of the area’.
“I kid you not, the minister said that area has good ‘ong’ and ‘feng shui’,” Syed Saddiq said, adding that Nga should visit Muar to see its “good feng shui”, which the former Muda president said was worthy of funding.
In a video uploaded to social media today, Syed Saddiq asked why Hulu Selangor and Kuala Kubu Bharu were receiving RM5.2 million so close to the by-election.
“I don’t know whether to be sad or angry, because opposition parliamentary constituencies haven’t received any allocations for almost two years.
“Since when did ‘feng shui’ and ‘ong’ only reside in election areas?” he said.
Yesterday, Nga unveiled an allocation of RM5.21 million for Hulu Selangor residents, which will also be used for projects in Kuala Kubu Bharu.
However, he denied this was in view of the May 11 by-election for the Kuala Kubu Baharu state seat.
“It’s not just because of the by-election. We chose this area because it’s an auspicious place. The ‘feng shui’ here is good,” he told reporters.
“However, with nominations for the by-election set for the following Saturday, as a Malaysian who loves this country, I call on all voters to come back to visit their families and vote for a party that is good, caring and progressive.” - FMT
