After the popularity of Queendom, Mnet back with the newest reality show for kpop idols. Unlike Queendom, Road to Kingdom is about a boy group idol who hare mostly unknown to many. Meaning they are not popular enough compare to others. 
There are 7 boy groups who participate in this competition.
PENTAGON           •Cube Entertainment home of Beast, 4Minute, BTOB, (G)I-dle
        •Debut 2016
        •They are the oldest group in this competition. They have one-time success                       with Shine
GOLDEN CHILDWoolim Entertainment home of a popular group such as Infinite and LovelyzDebut 2017They didn’t have any success until recently they reboot and win their first-ever music program with Wannabe.

ONFWM Entertainment home of B1A4 and Oh My GirlDebut 2017I didn’t know much about this group but some of their releases are good
THE BOYZCre.ker EntertainmentDebut 2017They might be the popular group among those 7 group since they have a high number of album sales.

VERIVERYJellyfish Entertainment home of VIXX and GugudanDebut 2019Decent album sales and their songs also quite good.

ONEUSRBW home to MamamooDebut 2019I could see this group can popular in a few years' time because they keep releasing amazing songs from debut.

TOOStone Music EntertainmentDebut 2020 from the survival show World KlassSince its a new group, we cannot measure the popularity but as Mnet says a show for the group with potential.
First episode
In this episode, each group will be given 90 seconds to make a performance that showcases their group talent. The first place of this battle can decide the order for the next performance.
The Boyz snatch number the first place with their warrior concept, followed by Pentagon, Verivery, Golden Child, ONF, ONEUS, and 7th place is TOO.
Personally, I like Golden Child's performance more than other group but I cannot deny other groups especially Verivery. They really shine throughout the performance. Pentagon’s performance is also great.
