Recovery Mco Violators Increase To 253 Ismail Sabri
The number of individuals caught for defying regulations under the recovery movement control order (MCO) yesterday increased to 253, from 84 on Saturday, said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Ismail Sabri Yaakob
Out of the total, 219 were issued compound fines, 32 were held in remand and two were released on bail, he said. “The offences were for involvement in pub/nightclub activities (116), failure to provide equipment to register the entry and exit of customers (23), not wearing a face mask (26), premises operating beyond the time permitted (two) and trespassing at quarantine centres (two)
“There were also cases of violators getting involved in activities that make social distancing difficult (70), the failure to pay quarantine charges (one) and involvement in gambling activities (13), " he said in a statement on the development of the recovery MCO today
Ismail mentioned that 64,929 inspections, involving 17,765 personnel, were conducted to ensure compliance with the prescribed standard operating procedure (SOP) at supermarkets, restaurants, hawker stalls, factories, banks, government offices, government offices, as well as land, air and sea transport terminals

He added that these individuals had returned from the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei, Qatar, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, India, United Arab Emirate, Japan, Turkey, South Korea, Iran, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Timor Leste, Taiwan, China, UK, the Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Egypt, Spain, France, Australia, New Zealand and the US
Police also conducted 220 checks on individuals under mandatory quarantine and all of them were found to have adhered to the stipulated SOP
He said checks were also conducted by enforcement officers from the Domestic Trade Consumer Affairs Ministry on the supply of 12 types of goods at 1,264 business premises, with 1,196 of them found to have adhered to the prescribed SOP
Thirty-three premises were issued advice and 25 others given warnings for violating the SOP, Ismail added
