Its information chief S Gobi Krishnan said he filed the report after the Rantau assemblyman, widely known as Tok Mat, failed to apologise within 24 hours.
“I already demanded that Tok Mat apologise within 24 hours two days ago but he kept mum on the matter. It’s been over 24 hours.
“If it’s wrong, just apologise, no problem,” he said outside the Sentul district police headquarters.

Gobi said that if no action was taken against Mohamad, the associate wing would march to his office.
He urged the police to probe Mohamad under Section 298 of the Penal Code for causing disharmony, disunity, or feelings of enmity, hatred, ill will or prejudicing the maintenance of harmony or unity, on grounds of religion.
In Mohamad’s recent interview with Asia Times, the Umno leader is said to have referred to the kavadi as a “burden” in describing Umno’s defeat at the 14th general election.
Previously, Gobi said the carrying of a kavadi was to fulfil vows a person had made and as a sign of gratitude to Lord Muruga during the annual Thaipusam festival.
“It is clear that he does not respect the sensitivities of the Hindu community,” Gobi said.
Meanwhile, Gobi said he also filed another report against the Crackhouse Comedy Club founder and comedian Rizal van Geyzel for allegedly insulting the Malays.
A video showing Rizal speaking in Tamil on stage had circulated on social media. - FMT
