Nurul Izzah In The Crosshair Again For Following Pmx On Trips

IT IS no easy matter being the daughter of the Prime Minister. When your every action is being examined under the microscope and used as salvo by political rivals, one has to spend a good amount of time explaining their conduct.
Recently, netizen Dark Lord drew quite the attention by bringing up the stale news of Nurul Izzah following her father on his visits overseas.

The narrative by political rivals back then was that she was using the country’s coffers for those visits. 
“Whatever overseas trip you go to, Nurul Izzah surely follows. The hotel and food expenses are surely paid from her own money,” said Dark Lord, which smells heavily of sarcasm.
Sadly, Dark Lord did not get the result he was likely looking for as the majority of netizens came to her defense. 
“She is afraid to let his father go there as no one will look after him. She is a good child,” said Isketambola1827.
On the other hand, Daniel Xy. Cheong  claimed that her trip was sponsored by companies.

Ayden Malek further explained that she was there to replace her mother, not some frivolous trip at the expense of the people.
Another netizen added that visiting prime ministers usually brought their wives along.
“With him, I think his wife didn’t want to follow, so he brought his daughter along to replace his wife. So this is the same,” he said.
Where excessive spending is being discussed, asyrafazhari makes a strong point with his comment, “Rule number one, don’t buy Birkin handbags,” drawing the fire away from Nurul Izzah and towards dear Rosmah.

Supermum further remarked that Nurul Izzah had been saving money since a baby, likely another reference to Rosmah.

“Why not? I think it is to prepare her to be our future PM,” said Jepmygood!, who is completely fine with it.
To recap, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil in November last year said that Nurul Izzah was invited to join the government delegation during a recent overseas trip in her capacity as chairman of the Social & Economic Research Initiative (Seri) think tank.
He said this in response to opposition lawmakers who questioned her travel expenses, who was seen accompanying her father at official events overseas. — Focus Malaysia
